Talida ist eine freistehende Einzelskulptur von Doris Bardong. Mit ihrer geschlossenen, leicht gelblich gefassten Form erinnert sie an eine abstrahierte und reduzierte Samenkapsel oder einen Fruchtkörper. Den Namen Talida wählte die Künstlerin aufgrund seines Klanges und der damit verbundenen Assoziation mit weiblichen Formen. 
Die Skulptur geht auf ein kleinteiliges Tonexperiment zurück, das Bardong dann in einen größeren Maßstab überführte. Im Zentrum stand die Frage, ob sich die ursprüngliche Formensprache auch in monumentalerer Dimension trägt – formal wie inhaltlich. So verbindet sich in Talida das Spiel mit Maßstab, Gewicht und Volumen mit der für Bardong typischen Auseinandersetzung zwischen organischem Naturstrukturen und künstlerischer Setzung.
Insgesamt verkörpert Talida Bardongs Interesse an der Transformation von Formen und Materialien sowie an der Wechselwirkung zwischen Stabilität und Fragilität. Diese Skulptur ermöglicht vielfältige Assoziationen auf Augenhöhe.

Talida is a freestanding, single-piece sculpture by Doris Bardong. With its closed form, tinged with a slight yellowish hue, it is reminiscent of an abstracted and simplified seed pod or fruiting body. The artist chose the name Talida because of its sound and the associated connotations with feminine forms.
The sculpture originated from a small-scale clay experiment that Bardong subsequently scaled up. The central question was whether the original formal language would hold up in a more monumental scale—both formally and in terms of content. Thus, Talida combines an exploration of scale, weight, and volume with Bardong’s characteristic examination of the interplay between organic natural structures and artistic composition.
Overall, Talida embodies Bardong’s interest in the transformation of forms and materials, as well as in the interplay between stability and fragility. This sculpture invites a wide range of associations on an equal footing.
